Service Description
NearlyFreeSpeech NearlyFreeSpeech (NFS) is the web host for TUPOE.org. They provide us with many support services including but not limited to Domain Addresses, DNS Services, and MySQL databases; at a dirt cheap price to boot!
Google Apps Google Apps provides email addresses and email routing for the @TUPOE.org domain. Very useful tool for those that need to organize their various website emails.
Google Analytics Google Analytics provides web traffic reports on how much traffic TUPOE.org gets and what parts of the world it comes from.
WordPress WordPress is the blogging software used by TUPOE.org. In addition they provide easy to use tools for static page creation. Therefore TUPOE.org uses them as a core website platform.
Thrica.com Thrica (pronounced thr-I-ka) provided the template WordPress design used by TUPOE.org. TUPOE.org altered it a bit but it remains principally a Thrica design.
PHPBB PHPBB is the forum software used by TUPOE.org. Its easy to use administration panel, and setup make it a fine tool for any socially driven website.
ColorizeIt ColorizeIt was used to alter the color scheme of the native PHPBB3 forum design. It automatically tweaked a lot of the color codes for the forums that would have otherwise been tweaked manually one by one.
Freenode.net Freenode.net is an open IRC project providing IRC channels for an who need them. Again a great tool for any socially driven website.
Mibbit Mibbit provides the web-based IRC Client for TUPOE.org. Nativity it is off-site so it reduces a lot of load that would normally be on NearlyFreeSpeeches servers.
CafePress CafePress powers the online store for TUPOE.org. They also manufacture TUPOE.org goods on order.
PayPal Paypal provides an account used by TUPOE.org for donations. It comes in handy for politically and non-profit organizations.
Google Adsense Google Adsense is an online ad service that places non-intrusive ads on TUPOE.org.

Social Bookmarking Sites

  • Social bookmarking sites allow people to share links with friends and rank bookmarked web pages. The more people that bookmark a web page the higher its rank rises giving it more exposure in the social sphere of the internet.
